I pretty much make my own racks, effects and stuff. But I'm on version 8 and now there is no turning back....cause it formats effects, projects...

have you read the manual for some troubleshooting? You could also try behringers website and check their forum/tech support/online help

I had some pioneer ones that lasted me 12 or so years. I just recently got some M-audio ones which are a midway between DJ headphones and Studio heaphones.

Are you plugging it in thru the USB? If so make sure you are plugged into the "midi out" port. I've never used that midi device nor have I used reason or renoise. So I'd just see if there is some presets in the software for the controller or a midi learn function either on the device or in the softw...
