Desert Island Breakcore Squad....
Hi all
1stly i want to say i'm soo entirely lazy that although i have visited this
magnificent b'core castle since it's inception i have only "joined" today-
so please take a minute, all of you, and welcome me goddamnit. ya, i'm kiddin (about every user feeling obliged to welcome me that is)
anyway i would say this is "new" (to me) rather than groundbreaking...
i recently heard a track by "Desert Island Breakcore Squad" on an excellent radio show on wnyu (NYC) called the "Math + Science" show.
it was a really killer track, and to my ears i could hear hints of Aaron Spectre, DuranDuranDuran, The NailBombCults, etc.. very raw & agressive, the music and the "production" both. has anyone else heard
D.I.B.S. traX? i believe there's a myspace page so i'll assume it's a yes
for @ least some of you.. If anyone has info feel free to share, especially as i'm too lazy to go to myspace lol
*check out the Math + Science show @ wnyu.org, there's a link on there
for the show's page (several good downloadable mixes & dj sets, all breakcore/idm/chiptune/and sooooo onnnnnnn.......)
regards,

Hi there and thank you very much for the warm welcome
I have been active in dozens of IDM/Breakcore forums all over the
place until recently when things got very.....surreal i suppose
Yes, do check out "Desert Island.......". now, i have only heard 1 track
but it was bad-ass; a bit formulaic, but hey breakcore can be that way @
times & it's still wonderful (not everyone can be Aaron Funk, etc..) and
moves me literally & within the deepest corridors of my mind. alsd check
the Math + Science show if you fancy, most shows are archived on their
site as quality mp3s (so you can easily find the B'core track i'm talkig about for example)
regards friend,

Hey there, the station is wnyu fm, 89.1 (via NYU). go to wnyu.org, then choose "shows"----->Math +Science----->click the link to their own page.
-there are a few other decent idm/noise/experimental shows on ny radio
if you are interested??
so, we are "neighbors" practically... and i know Jersey well as i have some
family there plus a few of the great legendary underground house producers/dj's are from the garden state (rip club zanzibar!!)
-are you coming to NY to see Bong-Ra in a couple weeks? (gonna be MASSIVE, bwoi!!!)
keep in touch,
