Brokecore Recordings Tribute Compilation! (submit today!)
submit now @ http://www.breakpoprecords.com/brokecore.html
We've started this tribute to show appreciation and respect for this legendary,
now-defunct netlabel we all know and love!
Helmed by the eponymous Brokecore John aka Evil Robot Ted out of it's evil abode in New Jersey,
Brokecore Recordings has been a mainstay of the 'net noise scene since the early part of the decade.
Brokecore has always been the home of more than just artists, but an ethic of free music and noisepunk DIY mentality.
A home of on-the-fly creativity- work creative and fresh; never getting hung up on it's own sense of "what it should be".
This label encouraged artists around the world to spend less time on perfection, and more time with raw creation.
Whether you were an artist who was able to be a part of this legacy, a former listener, or even someone reading about them just now-
Brokecore Recordings expressed a mentality from our scene to the net (not always a good thing, but BROKECORE did it well),
gave many artists a place to grow, took chances and indeed gave many artists their first home.
If you can respect this mission; throw something down for the compilation,
we're taking submissions across all styles- BROKECORE inspired.
help show a label owner some appreciation, I know most of you know how it feels.
also help us draw some attention to a wonderful back catalog of some quality gems from some of today's faves early classics!
