Mutant Breaks Compo

Postby JBL » Sat Jul 12, 2008 12:06 am

Mutant Breaks Compo was a renoise compo hosted by Conner_dw on the renoise forums.

There were 11 entries, all of them submitted in xrns, with no vst, so everyone with an internet connection can download the renoise demo and enjoy the songs or even remix them, directly in renoise!

I invite you to take a peek at the 11 entries, they are mostly your kind of shit theres some breakcore, some breakbeat, some experimental noise stuff, some drum and bass.. well.. its the best way to get introduced to renoise if you plan to use it to make such music.

here's the link, have fun!

oh btw, what do you think of my entry?

Sweeet, I'll check these out later this weekend.

I'm just starting out with Renoise, and like you said, this will be a perfect way to see how it's done. :D

Hey JBL!
I thought your track was freakin' awsome!! :D
Seriously, I like it a lot. I'm guessing this was the reason you were frantically searching for Sealab samples?

yep
and it's bpm 500, speed 12, 6 and 3.

Byte-Smasher made a bpm 650 version.

I always like to work with a lot of space between my notes.. it's like a super slow song, but played very fast. That gives me a lot of room for effects and/or very fast note.

the real bpm is 125.
