It's the thing, ableton is perfect for the super-edited tracks. i use for cut a lot of audio and breakz and i re-arrange on a mental way... fast!!!
i have a method with the impulse and the flatten option (in a few days, tutorial here....)

I got version 6 about one and a half weeks ago, but i think still to complicated, really hard to even mix a couple of tracks for me, but the tutorials in the program are good though.

I've been messing around on my mate's ableton 5 recently, trying to battle my problems with the renoise arrangement method. I quite like it, it gives you alot of more freedom to experiment with your loops, even if it's just for previewing purposes.

I checked out a couple of videos on youtube, the things people are doing with the program plus foot pedals can be interesting.

It just looks to pretty...
