forum activity and some suggestions
How many registered members are there? It doesn't seem like these forums get a whole lot of activity, especially some of the studio boards. Perhaps it would be a prudent move to consolidate some of the forums. Delete boards that don't get used, etc.
Also, regarding the post quota: Rather than requiring a minimum of three posts before one can download samples and stuff, maybe it would be a good idea to require an artist profile and uploaded tracks in order to gain access to the samples and software. Most people only post "Hi" three times in the welcome thread anyway, so that would do away with the unnecessary spam posts.
Just a thought; I promise I won't be offended if I get ignored.

You have some valid points here, there indeed have to be some changes, not nesceseraly(wtf?) to the forums structure, but the 3 post rule has to be changed.
But didn't you think it needed to be in this subtopic:

I myself for some reason can't move topics.

Yeah, I saw that topic, but honestly, I was hoping for someone to actually read it, so I put it here. Sorry.

That's a really good idea, however there might be some members who are just starting out with making music and need samples/VSTs/etc to make tracks to upload.
Ideally it would be nice if people stuck around and contributed to the site after they downloaded everything from it, but I do agree that something needs to be done about unnecessary spam and download/post quota.

Yeah maybe ther shouldnt even be a 3 post rule,, just download, but also contribute.
And koalamanchester, i know what you mean, it probably wasnt going to be read that much in that subfora.

I'm glad you guys aren't all pretentious assholes like so many music forum people are. There's another forum in which I participate, and it seems as though any hint of dissatisfaction with the site incites some sort of administrative tirade against the dissenter.
I think I have some ideas on how to work this out. I'd be happy to work with the Admins and try to get this place streamlined and user-friendly.

Feel free to post your ideas in the Improvements or Suggestions section(s). Or you can contact the admin directly by sending JohnMerrik a PM.

I think for a small board, the amount of traffic is not all that bad. It's also relatively new compared to more established boards and has no advertising. If anything needs to be done it is spreading the word through other boards and possibly banners.

While that will undoubtedly get rid of the 3-post-and-run type people it will also do two other things. First, it will reduce the number of people coming to the board in the first place. Most of the people here came on part because of the downloads but then after sticking around for 3 posts found that they could say a lot more. I know that's how it happened for me. Secondly, it would stop people like me from being able to learn how to make breakcore in the first place. Not only is it a useful resource for producers, it is also the starting place for those new to making music.
