What soundcard do you use live??
Yo...Just wondering what all you guys that play live use for a soundcard.... I am going to assume most of you use a laptop when you play out...though of course turntables/cd decks/controllers get thrown into the mix as well.....but I am specifically wondering what soundcard you guys use live.
1.usb
2.firewire
3.brand name
4.your experience with latency
5.how you use it (currently I am running ableton live out out 2 separate channels on my soundcard into 2 separate channels on my mixer)
I am using an old m-audio quattro usb2 card seems to work alright but does have some latency issues now and again. Thinking about picking up a new card soon...wondering what your experiences have been.

1. yes usb
2. no fw, not in this case
3. it's an m-audio fast track pro
4. between 15-40 ms... less latency on my macbook, more on my acer notebook... either's pretty good by me
5. w/ ableton live, outs 1&2 to mixer/pa, 3&4 monitoring to phones [left channel takes input from xfader side A, right - xfader side B] this let's me bust into super slap-n-dash dj mode if i want to!
