Breakcore is not dead its just evolving and merging with different genres, purely because its so versatile it can be incorporated into most "genres"(god i hate genres) personally I love the Amen and it has "defined" a sound and created a different scene that a lot of us probably wouldnt have even heard of, admittedly it is overused but if it wasnt for the amen breaks with gabba kicks I would probably not be promoting, producing and generally loving the music I listen to.

As long as your being creative and enjoy what you are making Go make what the fuck you want using whatever you want and fuck everyone else, thats there shit let them worry about it .....................

Ps Dubstep, thers a lot of boring stuff but when done right (and again takes influence from harder genres ) its tech and constantly evolving.
