Reading about electronic music?
Hey guys
So I was fucking around today and I noticed that between all the monthly magazines (MusicTech, Computer Music) that I drag my ass away from the computer to pick up at borders/barnes/whereever the fuck, and the visits to the library I make (where I grab the big fucking books about learning synths and good midi composing and stuff)......I do a shitload of reading on a subject for a guy who is pretty strapped for time to MAKE good tracks. idk, I think in some respects it pays off if you do it, but its still time I can use to google and find out the answers to what I wonder in the first place.
Anyways, I was wondering if any of you guys did the same shit, seeing as there's always a good flow of info between the tutorials, samples, etc.

i have a huge stack of music essays laying around, most of it isn't straight technical/tutorial though, more like a swim in the idea bog. it's fun.

i'm reading this one book about "making music on your computer". it talks about standards of composition in midi.....whats "kosher" i guess. I think it'll be an interesting ride.
