The good folks at Extreme Sound Forum are organizing a digital compilation that will be both a statement against Nuclear Power and also a benefit for the people of Japan who are suffering from the terrible events of the recent earthquake, the tsunami and now the nuclear emergency. The compilation will be available to purchase digitally and proceeds will directly benefit the people of Japan. ESF are looking for artists to take part in this important compilation, here is more information taken directly from ESF...

Everybody knows whats happening in these days in Japan. Japanese people are living a very tragic moment due to earthquake and tsunami. To crown it all they are facing also the problem of the explosion of nuclear plant in Fukushima.
I think that being against nuclear is something essential and really important for me, for all the people worldwide and for our future. Thanks to internet and to the collaboration between people I m sure we can do something important both to express our view on nuclear and to help Japanese people.
That's why I would like to do a compilation against nuclear.
I would like also to sell the compilation and donate all the money gained to help Japanese people. The money will be sent to Japanese Red Cross.

The compilation will include 15/20 tracks. I will choose among all the tracks you will send me only the best ones, so do your best and try to amaze me!

Music styles accepted: doom, industrial, breackcore, frenchcore, speedcore, extratone, noise....

Format: a .wav file already mastered.

Deadline: the situation in Japan is really bad now so we dont have much time. It would be nice if we can release the compilation in 7/10 days.

You can send me your tracks with a pm on Extreme Sound Forum or at albo@extremesoundforum.com

Co-operation between people is the right way to make this project work, so any help from artists, labels or just interested people is welcome.

Now do a good job! I'm waiting for your tracks!

Albo

Good initiative, but why anti nuclear.

Nuclear power is still relatively safe, it just shouldn't be build directly in dangerous areas.

Here too in Holland they do anti nuclear protest and they call them a success, they use the deads of people to further their cause, makes me puke.

The stupid thing is most politicians will probably be swayed easily by using the current fear to put in practice symbolic shit banning nuclear power.

But whatever, good initiative though terrible disaster.

I'm agree with you Pepcore. Not about that the nuclear is realy safe but I think that at the moment the most important is to help the japanese people.
Let's deal with this huge problem and talk about nuclear after that.

@ NightTerror - I sent you an e-mail today with some tracks, didn't realize you were putting out this compilation but you could use them for this as well if you are interested.

Please let us know if you are still accepting admissions for this (you said you wanted to release it in 7-10 days, that was a few weeks ago...)
