Toronto's getting better as far as a scene is concerned. I've held down a successful monthly night, Coresteppers, for like a year and a half. Videodrome is a massive annual event... dedicated almost entirely to AV/Jawa style breakcore.
...i imagine its still nothing like germany or the uk even.

definitely the best thing about facebook, myspace back in the day was absolutely useless for that. Find out about an event 3 months after it's happened and shit...

Totally relate because I'm an american and electronic music is not appreciated here. After some research I'd say that a bangface would probly be the best way to experience some of this "culture".
It's best for you to familiarize yourself with as many labels as possible that carry breakcore and similar artists. They list the tour dates/events revolved around the music and any related workshops. I've been following them for several years but most all events are overseas. Artists also use their websites/blogs to update with their contributions to the community.
In america there is no more doormouse on tour and thus there is nothing people care about. What you ask is a more complicated question because the culture is a worldwide network that flares up randomly. It's not very strong anywhere even if it's a hot spot at the time. Probly somewhere like Belgium or Paris could probly serve you some hardcore/breakcore. I'd love to experience the electronic music scenes there.

I wonder if one went down to Miami and somehow tracked him down, and hired him as a personal trainer, would he give you breakcore lessons instead?
I'm actually getting upset thinking about how he doesn't make brkcr anymore, woulda loved to see one of his shows, just once... gotta go guys...
