I wish there was a breakcore scene where I am. I am stuck on the east coast of USA where everyone goes around listening to Kei$ha or whatever the fuck that stupid bitch is called. I have noticed a sharp rise in dubstep with friends online. I had a friend who went from doing hardstyle/jumpstyle straight to dubstep, and all he talks about is bass wobbles and it is really annoying shit. Personally I think dubstep sounds stupid, and I hope that this is a trend that will go away in time.

Breakcore for life!!!

as a musician, listening is the most important thing to do. increasing your musical vocabulary will only benefit you. I find dubstep to be refreshing from the generic four-on-the-floor house music.

I used to hate dubstep...

and then I heard this: http://soundcloud.com/gizmode/fallout

Generally there is too much of it, but luckily most of the free parties I end up at play hartek and jungle and occasionally gabba. But if it takes a billion people to make a billion shit dubstep tunes just for one to make a track like the one above then that's fine with me.

A whole night of it would still bore me to tears... and for the past 3 years the Sunday at Glade has turned into the "find the tend NOT playing dubstep" game as you try desperately not to go under.

since quittting weed and waking up to myself i have realised how much of a bukkake wank this gaylord dubstep shit is.
I am ashamed of my past interest in this boring, absolutely pretentious genre.

I don't mind some things that cardo and neillandstrumm make which fall under the "dubstep" banner... ebola and kid606 make some ok stuff too

Dubstep in 2006 was top of it's game but now it's generally been snowed under by 'wobble' and 'filth', there may be a renaissance but not in the mainstream (mind you, all the good stuff starts underground anyway)

i think its startin to get a bit old... theres so much of it right now,

stuff like datsik and excision or trillbass are dope ... but overall i think it sucks to dance to anyway and the amount of generic shit dubstep is alarming

I agree with a lot of what was said, especially by theblade and ladyscraper. It sucks because people are like you play Breakcore? Do what? But if you say Dubstep they say aahhh fuck yea. I like a lot of the good underground dubstep, there are some sick artists. Cardopusher got me into it.

But I decided to make some dubstep and the local people eat it up. So I'm trying to make sick breakcore influenced dubstep while still jamming 200+bpm breaks edits inbetween the bass. Might as well force it down their throats. The funny thing is since most of them have never heard the core they don't know what to think. But I've converted several people by using dubstep as a medium. It works I tell you!
