No. I need you to spell it out for me.

John Frusciante is breakcore's Obama.

Discuss.

The majority of recorded music in odd times tends to suck, because composers are focusing too much on "pushing the envelope". Aaron Funk typically writes in odd meters, but he's MUSICAL about it. Frusciante is an amazing musician, and such a collaboration would be insane.

Indeed. Hearing about it broke my brain. Acid+Aaron Funk+Fruisciante=WTF?

Most of the good music in the world is written in a rational meter, and although there is some pretty cool stuff in odd times, using an odd time doesn't automatically make your music better, and doesn't nescessarily mean you're smarter than other musicians either.

I have a friend (a drummer) who worked on irrational meters for so long that the ticker in his brain went out of square and he just naturally jammed in an odd time.

I just hope they release shit on album because there's no possible way I can get out to see them live.

I'm not such a fan of recent RHCP but they've certainly not gotten worse at what they do. And John is a fantastic guitarist and musician overall, so I can't wait to hear what he and Aaron have in store for us.

Why did the Red Hot Chili Peppers go Under the Bridge?

Well, there was a plate of shit that they all wanted to jack off on to.
