My name is pretentious and I've ceased to be bothered by that fact.
It came from a conversation about how people's heroes/idols nowadays tend to be people who have no real substance; people who are empty.
Idol => Icon
Empty => Chasm.

Before that it was Austere Case.
I enjoy verbal puns. It sounds like "a staircase".
And the implications of what an austere case of something could be.
Austere as in "grim or severe"

on picking a name, the advice I heard was; pick something that's easy to remember and looks good on a flyer (hence the exlamation marks).
