Its a major problem with {i-cant-stop-laughin imo}. You go to a show and see someone incredible and think 'hey, he just has a {i-cant-stop-laughin} in front of him. Maybe I could do this.' NO you cant and should stop now. Learn to take a step back look at your {i-cant-stop-laughin} and say 'Wow that sucks!' (and i {i-cant-stop-laughin}). If all the {i-cant-stop-laughin} producers reverted back to being fans there might be even more hope in {i-cant-stop-laughin} future.

Hell yeah, Tracks like the Current Value remix of The Forgotton by Donny are essentially Breakcore tracks, some of the beat mashing in that is the sex, especially the thrash metal drums. Still gets dumped under the Darkstep/Skullstep/Neurofunk header and so sometimes gets overlooked by Breakcore fans.
The funny part is the total and utter denial of any breakcore influence by a fair few of the smaller DJ's who I've met that spin those sorts of tunes. Some of those guys seem to take it all oh-so-seriously which is fucking lame yet hilarious, its like breakcore is a dirty word to them - they are far too cool to be associated with it. Ha ha ha. Ego's like black metal guitarists! Fucking numpties.
I reckon some of Current Values drum sounds are astonishing - again him and Donny with Drill made one of the best hippie killer tracks there is! Broken Note - some of the heaviest, most powerful music i've ever heard. Noisia's productions speak for themselves...SPL, Audio, Limewax, Spor, could go on.
Meanwhile for example Bong-Ra, whose earlier works im fond of, has been barely remixing Hecq tracks and not giving appropriate credit where its due....quite honestly the last pure breakcore album by a new producer that I thought was great and could hold its own was TechDiff's beastly debut...
God i love eating speed and spewing personal opinion on the internet......its ok because im a fan and not a producer/DJ, so what the fuck do I know anyway?

£1200 per show + travel + hotel + food + free drinks and drugs. That pretty much sums up most of the Hard d'n'b and Dubstep scenes, and a lot of Breakcore too. Totally with you on the taking it seriously. There is nothing wrong with being serious about the music you produce, being passionate is a definite complement to creativity, but some of these guys aren't keeping it real.
I suppose when you've never worked a job and want Coke money you'll pretty much try and charge anything for a show. This is pretty much the reason why I can't continue to put on nights.

And the funniest thing about this is that this kind of artist that ask for completly ridiculous fee are often doing liveset like : press play and dance behind your laptop !

The influence breakcore has had on all modern music is so under rated indeed. Do you really think other genres would be so free to try any sound in their productions if the breakcore thing didn't happen. I don't think so.
As far of too many producers, i'd say as shit as most are including myself ... its great to hear so many ideas as i get bored with shit very easily

Dont get me wrong, I like Ebola (prefer the early stuff) and some of Cardopushers stuff but you have got to admit it is just gabba kicks and amens! to class them as "greats" is a bit strong.
Personally anyone who is "great" in my opinion needs to have there own sound, feeling and has contributed in more ways than just music ie Christoph Fringelli, Frank Rotator, Simon Underground, Hellfish, Squarepusher, AFX & the list goes on. .......
The problem is too many people making music they think other people wanna hear, if you are making music for that reason to sound like " breakcore" then stop. Make music cus you enjoy it and fuck what fits into a genre.
right, i maybe should have added an 'imo' for that first comment. Also, those were the first three names that came to mind who now make clubstep and used to make interesting music imo.
I couldnt agree more with the rest of your comment though.
Thanks for putting me up there with those guys
I'd make more breakcore if you guys all bought my t-shirt for $20
just sayin.
i got a brain full of noise and breaks, but id rather make dubstep that gets me gigs where i can make more than $100 a night and have sex with occasional groupies. once you get to a level where you can start making money from music, you kinda lose that "FUCK EVERYONE IM GONNA MAKE MUSIC TO SHOW OTHER PRODUCERS HOW MUCH THEY SUCK" vibe and start getting that "I'm gonna respect people who are making more money than me, and try and make as much money as them" vibe.
i know it sucks and i know you all hate me, but thats ok. my goal is to someday get enough consistent income so i can make breakcore as a hobby again. nothing makes me happier than melting people's faces with massive drums and noise.
