What's wrong with a bit of cheese. I'm sure that you, just like the rest of us have some terrible cheese locked away in your collection. Rhythm is a dancer? Pretty green eyes?

come on, admit it :P

psytrance is actually really well produced, something you couldnt say about alot of breakcore tracks.

So is a lot of stuff but that doesn't mean it's any good. Indie bands these days are very well produced in places but I think anyone who knows something would agree that most 70s punk bands who recorded on one mic in someone's garage have better music.

Too fucking right, anyway i got a vst with a pack i downloaded and it pretty much made instant psy-trance, what a load of wnank.

Hmm sounds intresting but ive got to work now, plus if i could get that far id just break into glade, its pretty easy to be honest, most festivals are. Have fun there for us tho haha :D

fair enough, i get your point but get mine, that is just totally Your opinion, the truth however still is that it IS well produced, better than most breakcore.

and its about making your own fx your own sounds etc, the most tricky part is the rolling sidechained bass, i bet none of you guys can make proper fullon. dont get me wrong, this topic apparantly is about opinions, and not the truth.

ofcourse you can download a vst with 18989213829138 presets. but thats not how you make it.

still tho,

breakcore is so much better than psy trance :)

I don't disagree with you but my point still stands. Production is no judge of how good a track actually sounds. The greatest producer in the world could release 90 minutes of one very well produced, but ultimately unchanging note being played continuously. Just because the production is flawless, doesn't make it any good. And of course this is my opinion. I can't make any a priori statements that one form of music is inherently better. No one has worked out an algorithm or formula for what makes some things sound better than others, at least not yet. Until then, any comment on music is going to be purely subjective and based on one's own opinion. And with this in mind, it is my opinion that psytrance is shit.

Side chaining bass is easy in ableton live 7. Only takes a quick minute and you can make that quick electro house/house/trance thumphing synth noise.

Why hate music? Just don't listen to what you don't want to hear, it's that simple.. but no, I don't hate it, I like a great variation of genres. Not Hard Dance though..

I really couldnt tell you, im sure it cam with my downloaded copy of fruity loops 8 but i got rid of that.

well yeah ofcourse this topic is going to be an opinion, most things that you would say about music is an opinion in the end isnt it. As frog was saying, there is never going to be a straight way to make a music everyone likes, there are just to many people and too many noises.

except donkstyle, everyone loves donkstyle.

Used to like it alot, but the last few years...no progress, same same, silly breaks, stupid samples. Most new stuff is carcinogenicly bad. Astral Projection used to be really good, trancy stuff. Infecteds first two albums where awesome. Megalopsy mad a killer album some time ago and where dis The Delta go?

guess that's why I'm here.
