No offense.. but people call Snares a dick, this guy tops it.
I don't see why the fuck 'breakcore' should not use modern technology..
Oh no wait.. Breakcore musicians should buy vintage equipment and spend 10000000's on it while for.. lets say.. 500 and a nice laptop, you can do the exact same thing.
The political statement here is that only people with lots of cash may make 'real breakcore'
If you want analog distortion buy a fucking analog delay and run your master mix trough there.
If you want people to experiment and do new things in a genre they should not be limited to only using vintage hardware and 'analogue desks'
damn..

as long as bcore holds different definitions this whole back and forth hostility is null and void
Precisely, he practically acknowledged that multiple people were using the term, from producers to distributors, i'm sure many of them would have approved of using newer technology. Fuck the idealism of it all though, let's just focus on getting boners.

I will upload it somewhere next week so you can hear how awesome those techniques are compared to all your laptop garbage!

i think he has a point in a way
i never thought of what alec empire was doing as breakcore anyway, it's just labels but i associate breakcore with the later stuff like shitmat/sickboy etc and a very laptop/mp3 based scene partly spawned by how easy it was to get mp3 tunes and destroy them/mash them up etc
but 'if you say so dad'
respect to alec empire but he can keep the name breakcore anyway, most people aren't lucky/smart/whatever enough to be in the right place at the right time where something like breakcore happens, i've had some amazing nights in clubs and bars dancing to breakcore through good and not so good systems.
alec empire would probably turn his nose up at it, but it's all in the eye of the beholder innit

i read up untill he talked about politics and nazis........
hes such a dull cunt, i couldnt give a shit about ATR or alec tbh and especially relating breakcore to politics and blah blah blah.
breakcore its noisy fast jungle hardcore fusion, nothing more to it.
choppy amen, nasty reeces, harsh pads and hilarious samples, who cares where it came from

Widerstand, c8, DHR, Praxis, Mokum...............All pretty much had marxist/situationist tendancies, or at the very least had a punk rock foundation.
PS I heard a Snafu song the other day that used an Amen Break!
zomg.

Amusing.
AE: The DHR scene died with Carl Crack in 2001. After that nothing was the same anymore. We focus on releasing back catalogue since then.
Funny, ATR posted a new tweet on twitter saying they have new tracks. It's kind of saddening.
