is it going too far? honestly i don't think its listenable. you can only go so fast before it stops being music.

as far i have understood, extratone and splittercore are different "genres"
extraTONE is kind of experimentation with sounds, it's just so fast that kicks, hats etc become a TONE
splittercore is just extremesupergigamegashittyfast speedcore

ok, it seems that they are pretty much the same
it's like explaining the difference between goa and psy (there is actually an obvious difference between them but a lot of ppl don't get it

)

and i think also that it isn't listenable =D

There are too many people that take those genre names seriously. They actually sit down and tag their music as 'Splittercore', 'analcore', 'shitcore', extratone', 'speedcore' etc. It's exactly the same thing, it's all variants of noise and speedcore, nowhere near varied enough to deserve themselves serious sub-genre titles outside the realms of parody.
