For those of you who haven't come to terms with this, 'Hate Voting' is when a user decides to place a bad rating on a song, simply because they don't like the artist.

Fuck Yeah!
I suppose there is the possibility that someone didn't like the song.
But that has happened to me twice.
Which is fucking lame.

I guess I think the only songs that are worth a 1 are the spoof 2 second songs that are just made for laughs.

When people vote themselves up ten sucks too.
I no longer do that.

I once voted your track a 6.
But that was because I'm not a crazy fan.
Great production though.

i posted a thread about this months ago or so. i was pretty pissed the first couple of times it happened to me but some people just kina helped me realize i was being too damn sensitive, im posting free songs on a website where basically anyone with an internet connection and a few spare minutes can hate on whatever they want

i mean its nice to see when people like your track but hey theres always gon be haters out there, in this sites case everyone is a hater and all tracks should be given ones from the start

another thing someone said was that sometimes people give really low ratings just cuz theyre tryoing to get the average rating the track has to be what they think it should be

theres a million reasons why you get hate voters but i think the lesson of it is to not get worked up over it, i think thats why we have some really great producers on here which hardly ever release tracks on here save for contest, for example producer snafu

in response the shor tracks i dont even think deserve ones, i base my ratings on production value, creativity, and just plain old spark, did the track make me laugh, how did it seperate itself from the rest

as much as i say i hate the voting systems openness, it does really kinda chop the curve and make it harder to get higher ratings, i mean when was the last time you saw a track get 10s, fo realz, it keeps the voting system valuable the fact that the highest rated track is usually a high 8

but w/e i finish my rant/unorginized thoughts haha

people are gay. give someone a bad vote 'cause they aren't confident in their own work. or, like you said,, they plain don't like the producer.... duh.

It happens all the time. Out of courtesy I never really give a rating below 5 to be honest, even if I think a track isn't up to much it's rarely criminally bad, usually a reflection of lack of experience more than anything. It's more encouraging to give people useful feedback and suggest some improvements, than give them a 1/10, which is the internet equivellant of slipping a barbell in to their ass and punching them in the cock. It's petty, spiteful and a pretty cuntish thing to do, but it happens a lot on here. I suspect it's a minority of armchair yoghurt cocks who do it on a regular basis as some form of perceived anti-noob retribution.

in the actual contest i won, i gave Infekkted an 8.... 'cause he deserved it... i wasn't aware that i should try and 'sandbag' anyone. and never would i give someone a 1..... if the track is that bad, then it would probably get enough bad votes.. it doesn't need a vote from me. or a hateful comment.

Corect but also...I love al of jou for making this kind of shit. My respect for jou guys is not only for the contest winers here.
Its also for the producers that dont win but still make incredible wicked stuf.
I know Pepcore makes (hope he makes some new stuf soon) greath Nederbreaks. Divitech is also at its primme, DJ blade is turning soutparksamples in gold.

the voting system is what it is.. people should really expect all of this, especially when you decide to put yourself out there in such a fashion. you can't expect everyone to like what you do. that's just crazy talk.
Also, it isn't odd for people to recognize faults in a system, or in the nature of those who's voting goes from it being what they really think of a song, to straight up sabotage. there is a difference. it's quite alright to recognize that as fact.
