Reading about electronic music?

Postby jimmusician » Tue Mar 09, 2010 7:03 am

Hey guys

So I was fucking around today and I noticed that between all the monthly magazines (MusicTech, Computer Music) that I drag my ass away from the computer to pick up at borders/barnes/whereever the fuck, and the visits to the library I make (where I grab the big fucking books about learning synths and good midi composing and stuff)......I do a shitload of reading on a subject for a guy who is pretty strapped for time to MAKE good tracks. idk, I think in some respects it pays off if you do it, but its still time I can use to google and find out the answers to what I wonder in the first place.

Anyways, I was wondering if any of you guys did the same shit, seeing as there's always a good flow of info between the tutorials, samples, etc.

you can usually find this one used for around $45 and it's very worth it. and if you're as nerdy as me, it will take your breath away with it's insights and revelations. the cover says "tutorial" but "bible" would be more appropriate.

plus, you'll build upper body strength carrying it around (it's pretty thick!) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
