weyheyhey sample pack

Postby weyheyhey !! » Fri Sep 21, 2012 4:08 pm

Hi guys, not sure how active other areas of the forum are so thought I'd post this here (please move if you see appropriate :))

Here's a zip file with a few things I made. It's not loads really, but it's got a few kick drums, some breaks I've processed, some glitches, sample packs + break stems for two of my older tracks and also an unfinished/unreleased tune for Renoise 2.8 (it's about 70% complete). Share! And use any way you like. If you like.

peace! ;)

Finally got around to downloading this, thanks!

For anyone wondering it's excellent,

all the breaks sound really good *****
wish there were more kicks, but the ones that are there (In particular, the I'm your Daddy kick) are gnarlacious *****
there aren't any punchy snares, which I usually like, but everything else makes up for that ****
Plenty of Misc. sounds which would fit into any breakcore track *****

Strongly recommend this pack to anyone *****
Especially anyone looking for the "ya! hoo! da-duh! think" break (you know, the break from that Squarepusher, Aphex, Flashbulb track)

"don't stop get it get it"

"work with it"

Just now busting these out and listening... and with the file called 180bpm-glitches I know what you did to get most of those glitch effects, but there's one I can't figure out right at about 2.5 seconds. Looks like short stabs of 128th notes with the source sample pitched up progressively higher for each one but I don't think that's it.

:-/ just realized you quantize all the hits when processing a break.... this will make my life easier! I guess you might as well when the tempos are 180+.

that's retriggered amen ghost snares with a low pass filter sweep over it :)

Yeah, you have to quantize if you want to use hits from anywhere in the break otherwise you'll get gaps!
