Wah wah wobble bass

Postby imbibechems2bass » Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:31 am

Sir, request for tips on how to make a tight dubstep wobble bass.

How do they get the wahwah sound to get faster and slower? I can figure it out to make a set pattern, but I cannot spead up and slow down the wobble once the pattern is made. I use Fruity Loops, if this is needed information.

Get a low octave synth-- square or sawtooth wave. Apply a filter to it, then apply an LFO to the filter cutoff. The speed of the LFO determines the denomination of note value. If that didn't make sense, you're kinda SOL.

The Rate Mate of the LFO is what you need ta fuck with.. Try getting Massive from NI. Also try automating the wave table

i'm not familiar with fruity, but i guess the technique is just the same as in any daw

1. you load a square or saw waveform in your sampler
2. loop it (if you now play it you will only hear 'iiieeeeeee' :)
3. turn lfo on, and adjust lfo rate for slower or quicker 'wobwob'
4. at last give it a BandPass filter to adjust your sound the way you like it

SIMPLY AS THAT! got that from youtube somewhere :D
