What programs do you use?

Postby JohnMerrik » Tue Feb 27, 2007 8:36 am

I use mainly Buzz, with an assortment of hardware, and random VSTs.
I use cooledit for sample editing, and basic mastering (just way to comfortable with those programs to change)

what are you all using?

i used buzz a lot also in live performances.
its my fave program of all time.
anyway now im more hardware based so i use cubase sx 3 to record stuff in and have some editing and post production.
sometimes i do some complete tunes on software but that happens less and less now.

I never could get buzz to really work properly for me in a live show. Gets kinda choppy when the CPU usage gets too high

I never really got fruity loops to do what I wanted. I gave up pretty fast though. I cant stand the interface.

I tried reason for a while, I liked it, and the mastering capabilities are amazing. Cubase I believe is ported to linux. and there are lots of good open source projects check http://linux-sound.org/ and ofcourse there are alot of great things on http://sourceforge.net/.
I don't need a fucking signature... WolfMerrik.com

I'm using reason, and I like it. I'm not really into it, I have had it since a few days, but I'm going forward ^

Hey all, I've been using Reason for some time now, and also Acid. Haven't delved that deep into them yet as I still don't know much about how to really produce music, but I'm learning as I go.
