Yes for the love of god upgrade. I bounced from 5 to 7 myself and my work flow is much faster. The new drum rack makes it totally worth it if your into editing breaks and that type of stuff.

Live 7 FTW!

It's my first version, and I've only been at it for a couple of days, but fuckin hell...I can hardly learn anything, because I'm so busy playing around. I stretched the intro of the first track I've copied into it into a half hour long piece of art, and I haven't even loaded up the clips for the actual meat of the piece yet. It looks like my Cubase composing ass is actually going to be able to play live when I get out of Iraq.

I don't know what's new, because it's the first one I've played with, but I have to assume that it's worth it to have this kind of godlike power over soundwaves.

I upgraded from 5 to 7 recently and fuck yeah its worth it, drum racks are awesome, and it has REX and rewire support, plus the new instruments like tension rule, the new sampler is the shit and you can do pretty much anything without the audio stopping!!!

Buy the real one or don't listen to interweb gossip. Either works fine.

Hail guy !

Take Live 7 NOW !!! Its a pure perfect composition and live software. I use it since 2 month (because I have left FL8 and Renoise) and like said before the Drum Rack is a masterpiece of rythmic manipulation ;-)

What made you leave FL? You like ableton better for live performance? Welcome to the ableton side!

I leave FL 8 because this fucking software make my cpu crazy after just 1 min of music with 2 slicer and one synth.

With Live i can make live and crazy composition like I want ;-)

I just got Ableton Live 7 and after trying it out a bit I think I should ditch the god-forsaken FL Studio, which gets all crackling and shitty with a couple of fucking samples. :x Good riddance! Now I'm trying to figure out some components of the Live. How do you map the MIDI keyboard buttons to some of the actions in the Ableton Live 7? Tutorials in the Ableton couldn't help me because of my short attention span and poor english.
