Distortion!

Postby DISEMBOWELLED » Mon May 12, 2008 10:37 pm

I've moved from Reason to Ableton and everything is awesome except im having serious scream4 withdrawal symptoms...

any good free distortion VSTs around that allow for those mental sounds the scream4 makes?? im fed up of just maxing out the saturator lol

edit: oh this is primarily for use with breaks..

I've never used reason so I don't know what all the scream 4 sounds like. I watched a video and it sounded kinda phased and filterish, but they didn't use any of the dammage. I know a plugin but its not free that can do all that stuff and more. If you could give us an example we could probably find something to mimic the sound.

try the bereti vst, its sound is based on circuit bending. its a serious beast, completly beyond control.

i can also recomend cyanide 2 and cm fuzz.

but in truth i have never found anything that sounds quite like the scream, its the best thing in reason (well in vers 2.5 anyway). im not sure you will find a replacement. if you love the scream you may have to Rewire.
