Vurtbox is especially nice and fucked up.

DFX Transverb - Crazy reverb/delay thing with randomizer and noisemaking abilities. Great for experimenting in Soundforge, and adding cool fx noises to drum tracks.
Image

Alien Solo - A true effect synthesizer; converts whatever audio you run through it into synth! Vocals, guitars, drums, whatever.

Dual Trashers - Awesome filthy bitcrusher distortion.

Bent - Circuit bent emulator/resynthesis. Turns drums into dirt, and guitars into dust. A must-have for harsh noise.

Sun-Ra - Ambient texture generator/experimental cross-sampler/subtractive synth. Endless fun. Change the 2 source wavs to beat loops and shit gets freaky...

instajungle (great for live or if you can't write drills)

Copyshop (great beat repeat for tight and screechy drills)

Audjoo Helix (AMAZING FM Synthesizer)

Berrtill (circuit bent distortion with multiple bodies)

The one thing that sucks about the tweakbench site now is that the pressure vst is gone. I love using that for making sick sub basslines.

ok, here are the most frequently used freebies in my setup. not all breakcore, so i hope this isn't way off topic. if u think so, please let me know and i will not care, promise.

-=fx=-

Image
http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-reverb.php

nice and warm small-medium time reverb. much less than extreme, nice sound though.

Image
http://www.dontcrack.com/freeware/downloads.php/id/3291/software/LiveCut/

not mutch to say, just run breaks through it and hit record. it wll klik-klik-klik n chop-chop-chop. kickass.

Image
http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/software/scrubby-win.zip

nice random"pitchshifter" thingy, ot reeeally controllable but can still do nice stuff. u gotta respect dfx anyway

diry up a sound. again not really extreme, still useful for a little grit. big respect to de la mancha. kinda obvious in this post...

http://www.pluggotic.com/files/pluggoticshattersync.rar
(no pic at the mo)

will f*ck up sound and time. nice and weird harsh chops 'n sounds, especially if ran through other soundf*cking plugz or whatever

Image
http://www.delamancha.co.uk/ring_thing.htm

time modulated ringmod, needs much tweaking to get s'thing iteresting imo. niceone.

-=sunths 'n such=-

Image
http://www.dontcrack.com/freeware/downloads.php/id/1027/software/Piano/#

excellent sounding, almost completely untweakabla piano. "rave like a headless chicken!"

Image
http://www.delamancha.co.uk/subfreak.htm

Image
http://www.delamancha.co.uk/subatomic.htm

sub-bass & sub-kicks. ultra warm sines.

almost forgot this:

Image
http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_FreqAnalyst/

pretty useful, really kelps find out wtf muffles your track. does nothing to fix it though :?

i'll also agree with many here, tweakbench= for both the above categories.
http://www.tweakbench.com/
haven'n managed to get a good enough sound out them synths, though. anyone else has, by the way?
