anyone know the best ones on a budget of £50 or so? (around $75)

Edirol Orchestral - Here. The bastards aren't going to bring out a driver for vista though.

EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra - Here. Well out of your budget but seriously worth considering if you want the best of the best without hiring out an orchestra to play and record your music.

He asked for an Orchestral VSTi. Cellofan is a Cello emulator.

however if you do want crappy sound and you don't want to pay.. you should check out Orch Combo - Here.

NI Absynth 4 actually has some reasonably legit orchestral patches...

Melloness
Modwheel Cello
Not Quite Forgotten
Psycho Film
Slow Blender
Choir & Stringz

Are all pretty good. A couple of the string ones have tremolo assigned to the modwheel - makes them a lot more 'expressive' and definitely more realistic-sounding.

But Absynth again, is all synthesis - no samples, so it can only sound so realistic. I think it does a pretty damn good job though.

Made this using cellofan, still working on it, if anybody wants the fl just holla, i dont think i will be finishing it.
