When you speak or sing, air from your lungs is forced through your vocal
chords, causing them to vibrate. The resulting waveform is propagated
through the throat, the mouth and out through the lips. It is the shape of
these structures that create the resonant characteristics that define a
unique vocal identity.

But going into a bit more detail, the vocal waveform is actually a
combination of two different components. One, the one we usually think of
as the primary element of vocal timbre, is the harmonic content generated
by the process described above. However, there is a second component that
is generated by the turbulence of the air rushing past the vocal chords.
This component, aspiration noise, does not have harmonic content and can
roughly be thought of as ôbreathiness.ö

Aspiration noise presents itself in a variety of ways, from a subtle bit of
breathiness to a full-blown rasp. Of course, whether itÆs a problem or not
depends on the amount of noise and the style of a performance. A whole lot
of roughness that would work well for screaming punk or roots blues might
well be a problem for mainstream pop or a smooth ballad (of course, it also

THROAT Evo Physical Modeling Vocal Designer

THROAT Evo is a revolutionary new vocal tool that lets you process a vocal
through a meticulously crafted physical model of the human vocal tract.
THROAT Evo begins by neutralizing the effect of the original singerÆs vocal
tract and then gives you the ability to specify the characteristics of the
modeled vocal tract.

THROAT EvoÆs controls allow you to modify the voiceÆs glottal waveform as
well as globally stretch, shorten, widen or constrict the modeled vocal
tract. For even more detailed control, THROAT EvoÆs graphical Throat
Shaping display allows you to individually adjust the position and width of

DUO Evo automatically generates a doubled vocal part from an existing

version of THROAT EvoÆs vocal modeling to provide timbral variation for the
doubled part. DUO EvoÆs output section gives you independent control of the
level and stereo position of the original and doubled voices.

CHOIR Evo Vocal Multiplier

Neither a harmonizer nor a conventional chorus effect, CHOIR Evo is a
unique processor that actually turns a single voice into 4, 8, 16, or 32

DYNAM-IZER
Don't get confused - this is not multi-band compression. Dynam-izer is an entirely different beast. Why always apply the same compression to all audio levels? Compress the louder levels with a quick attack; expand the lower levels with a slow release and leave the mid level sounds alone. Try it with a traditional compressor - you won't get far. Dynam-izer lets you break your audio levels up into "zones" so you can control them exactly how you want. No one size fits all compression here.

DETAILER
The Detailer is a stereo mastering tool or final mix plug-in for the master fader. It represents a new method of increasing the perception of detail while still allowing increased loudness in the final mix. It is a combination of three band limiter and dynamic widening psycho acoustic processing. Roger Nichols has fine tuned the process to produce the most effective results with the least amount of adjustments.

FINIS
We all know that unplanned digital distortion is bad news. Use Finis to control your audio levels and prevent distortion from rearing its ugly head. And when you need to give your audio more edge, Finis helps you maximize your audio's loudness. Even at extreme settings, Finis can control levels without audible distortion. Whether you just need to catch an occasional over or to increase the average level of your audio, Finis offers a flexible solution.

FINIS 3
The Finis 3 Band Limiter Loudness Maximizer is a Peak-Limiter and Bit-Depth Re-Quantizer, which is a so called ôDitheringö. The Finis 3 uses multi-band dynamics processing, limiting the total of the multiple bands or each band separately to a certain Threshold factor. This allows the Finis 3 to reach maximal loudness of any given sonic repertoire. The band split is implemented using FIR (Finite Impulse Response) linear phase crossovers so that no phase distortion is introduced by the crossovers.

FREQUAL-IZER
Frequal-izer builds a complex FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter to your specifications. See the results of your EQ with the built-in spectrum analyzer. Frequal-izer will not color your audio with the introduction of non-linear phase shift.

UNIQUEL-IZER

Produce complex, but subtle changes in your audio or completely alter the sound. D1 can help you bring out nuances you didn't even realize were present .

D4
D4 is a "Dynamics Processing Tool" that breaks up audio into "processing zones" so you can control different levels as needed. Each zone has separate attack, release, and gain settings. Unlike ordinary compressors it can be a compressor, expander, compander, leveler, de-esser, ducker, dynamic restorer, limiter and everything in between.(VST3 version included).

   Mu Voice is a plug-in that allows you to tune your vocal recordings,
   apply special effects and add natural sounding harmonies when mixing
   your track. With an internal delay of 5.8 ms Mu Voice is the ideal

   What's new in this version

 * MIDI-2-Pitch: The pitch of the lead voice can be tuned to a MIDI note (red keys).
   The tuning also affects also the harmonies.
 * MIDI-2-Harmony:   Several  harmony  channels can be put to MIDI mode. This means that
   when a note is played (orange keys), it is assigned to one of the MIDI mode channels.
   This features allows you to create harmonies just by routing MIDI notes to the plug-in.
 * (Delta)Pitch-2-Parameter: This is an advanced feature that allows parameters to follow
   the pitch or the interval between the lead and the harmony. This feature is important
   for getting a natural sound. * Control Change Events: Any MIDI controller can be mapped
   to any set of Mu Voice parameters. This requires a very simple set of actions; touching
   a controller, selecting a number of parameters, and editing the parameter curves.
 * Program Change Events: These events are typically sent when a synth bank is changed or
   when a foot switch is pressed. Triggering a program change 10, will apply the chord and
   preset at the tenth position in the chord scheme.
 * Playlists: Mu Voice XML files for different songs can be grouped in playlists. Files are
   added just by dropping them on the playlist.
 * MIDI Assignable Navigation Controls: The MIDI panel has six programmable buttons.
   The first two are used to move forward and backward through the chord scheme. The second
   two are used to do the same but by using anchor points. The final two are to go to the
   next song in he playlist.

The Trident A-Range is a legendary piece of equipment. As only thirteen A
-Range consoles were ever made, it remains a holy grail for sound engineers
and producers around the world that hope to create works of art equal to
those that were originally recorded on the A-Range — David Bowie's Ziggy
Stardust, Queen, Elton John, the list goes on...

The A-Range plug-in from Softube is the first and only native plug-in that
has been fully endorsed by original designer Malcolm Toft and Trident
Audio.

The plug-in is a model of a channel on one of the original 13 Trident A
-Range consoles. We chose to model channel 15 from the console at Sweet
Silence Studio 'B' in Denmark, producer Flemming Rasmussen's favorite
channel for recording lead vocals. Flemming also used it for the solo and
rhythm guitars on Metallica's "Ride The Lightning" and "Master of Puppets",
and Ritchie Blackmore's guitar on the Rainbow albums "Difficult to Cure"
and "Bent out of Shape".

The A-Range channel features four bands of equalization and high and low
pass filters. The sound of the bands is often referred to as "colorful" and
"musical". When running a hot enough signal through the original unit and
boosting the bands, it is possible to get it to distort, the result is a
hairy and effective saturation that is just right in some situations, and
just wrong in others!

- Improved the auto-adjust gain range behavior: after the range has been increased, dragging still feels the same as before, and when you switch back to the original range, the mouse cursor will end up at the original position as well.
- Improved the frequency response of the filter curves for low-cut and high-cut filter shapes.
- Fixed a possible crash when starting to Alt- or Ctrl+Alt-drag a curve when no curve is selected at all.
