got 2 mackie thump 15" (and very good neighbours :) )
like it alot cause they're light for transporting, and sounds realy good in the lower freq
bit big for use in your living room :(

worked about 3 years with an alround hi-fi stereo before (about 60W crappy speakers) -> FUCK THAT!!

so what yours? and you're likes/dislikes?

I've got extremely shitty speakers(for over 12 years i believe), they are extremely lacking in the low hz's. I'm thinking of buying some new ones.

don't sweat it too much. I do most of my production, mixing and mastering on a £30 pair of earphones (SoundMagic E10, they're amazing - get some). Got some cheap behringer monitors too but I use the earphones for all the precision + detail work.

True. Got some 30 euro senheisers. Do a lot of work with them. Actually those an a mouse.

Off topic: my brother just got a daw (same like me: abeton) and we would love to mix up with eachother. I guess if we both would get an midi interface, we could send/receive bpm as midi data from eachother. Am i correct? I'm noob at this. Also will our beats match. Or should i use a trick to trigger eachother?

Man i hope some one can help me out with this...

I have it on good authority that they're amazing, but a tad expensive - they will be mine though, they will be mine

Hey Kay, I bought these not to long ago.

I really like them because they have all the features I was looking for; Kevlar Woofers, Silk Dome Tweeters. I like to play loud and I have blown monitors before, these I have turned up all the way with phantom power from my mixer and they refuse to burst even when red lining.
They also have EQ control so when watching movies shyt on my cpu, I can turn down the bass when my wife falls asleep so as not to disturb her rest. Plus they just sound terrific a really excellent response from the low end but not like some sort of "Bass overdrive" they don't modify the actual sound so they have excellent clarity for mixdowns and mastering and all this at such a reasonable price I bought them for around 140 Euros
