8 bit hardware
New topic. 1st hardware 8 bit (and familiar) topic.
since i could borrow a commodore 64 with some software i would like some chitchat around this.
sharing some knowledge and experiences.
i used emulators. Most beloved one was 'basic64'. But honestly: it's not the same as the real c64 soundchip.
any other commodore amiga gameboy nes ... players here?

basic 64 is awesome! i use it alot of weird ducked up drum sounds
ive tried using a gameboy before and although it was shit loadsa fun i just couldnt get it to do what i wanted, i was trying to be scotchegg and it just didnt work, haha
as for the amiga i had a loan of one for a day and just wrote basic drums on it and resampled them,
id love to hear what you come up with tho! massive fan of the 8bit glitchy distortion just was never my way of writing tracks

Re: 8 bit hardware
I have an OTO Biscuit which is a sick 8-bit distortion fx-machine, but can also be used as an 8-bit monophonic synth. Really awesome bit of gear but super-fucking pricey. Not sure it is really worth the price, but I will never part from it now that I have it.
