Verdroid, I don't think I can do it using only text..... I would need to demonstrate...

Maybe look for a video about Time Signatures on Youtube?

Time signatures dictate how many beats are in each measure/bar. Most popular music (Especially all electronic dance music) is in 4/4, or 4 beats per measure. There are plenty of time signatures, from 3/4 to 7/8 to 13/16, and the bottom number is always 4, 8, or 16. It just makes it more complex and fun when writing music, personally.

Check out my (currently) only user track, it's entirely in 5/4, and quite brutal if you ask me.

lol nice work guys, I actually teach drums for a living, but me trying to explain time signatures to someone who has never studied music can be the most awkward thing!

THNX" my head is way to slow to count the second example. Gonna check me some videos...thats a good tip too.
While i'm learning here. I can share some knowledge: playing live can give high unwanted volume peaks, right?! So you can go all difficult by putting a limiter and compressor (brick wall: don't ask me what that exacrly is), and what not in your effect chains. OR for those who just begin to play and are not that smart (like me :))
Just play everything f*cking loud! That way there are no louder peaks. Haha

best thing i've learned 2012
