sounds like shit to me... like someone took a bad bit of dynasty warriors soundtrack and mixed it with an amen that wasn't chopped nearly enough to be interesting.

This sounds like a bunch of Japanese stuff i've heard. Kind of cyberpunk i guess. Not sure if there is a propper genre title. Like pop punk with amens. I can't think of any of the bands names.
Check out an animae called "Gantz". Its got a pretty cool amen punk tune as the sound track.

Mad Capsule Markets?

Gantz is badass, I'm still waiting on the manga to come out in the US. The opening track is by RIP Slyme and I love that track, even though it sounds nothing like anything they've ever done. They usually sound like a j-hip hop verison of the pharcyde.

YES!!!! Mad Capsule Markets!!! Thanks Rtificial
Been trying to remember what they were called for ages. I always get them confused with the Boom Boom Satellites.
Heres a Kick ass video

but, the general public's ears won't ever be ready for mashed cut-up jungle breakcore. so don't get excited, no one's gonna be a rock star :p

WORD!

This thread reminds me of that "Hospital release breakcore track" that was floating about a few weeks ago.

I guess there are some people who are new to electronic music and their point of reference for the Amen break is breakcore and aren't really aware of the breaks full history.

Yeah. Its the amen film.
If anyone hasn't seen it yet watch it! Its a really interesting documentary about the history of the amen break.

Mad Capsule Markets have some neat videos. Their US released cd came with an extra dvd with some videos on it. I have a few of their Japan releases too and I like listening to em, just cause they sound angry and I have no clue what they are saying in some songs heh.

Alec Empire did some remixes of em long ago. I still have em banging around somewhere in all their pounding shouty glory.
