I use quadrasid a lot lately, pretty sweet for c64 drum sounds, especially the turrican BD + Bass preset.

magical8bit also fucks with ableton, however it worked well in fruity and it can make insane noises. I had only one problem with it: the attack and the release can be too "heavy" even on lower levels.

magical8bit works pretty good with renoise, but I rather use the tweakbench 8bit vst's. thought magic8bit is good for making long attack and sustained sounds.

I use magical8bit for my more dancey tracks and syntendo for anything breaky.
I'm going to give that quadrasid a blast.
