ICE CUBE INVENTED BREAKCORE
Sorry if this discussion is getting boring, but....
I always thought one of the defining characteristics of breakcore was the hella fast tempos. Like it's not breakcore if it's less than 170bpm. If I'm wrong about this, that's fine, but I just thought it might be more accurate to say that breakcore is just a really, really fast version of Ice Cube, rather than claiming he is the inventor.
Of course there's the jamaican sounding vox in the chorus of wicked that, from memory, sound like they've been sped up or something but the drums are slow. And is that really the amen? Maybe it was just gated and the terrible, terrible quality of my speakers at home made it difficult to recognise, but it sounded different to me. Maybe da cube is just a masta of making the amen not boring. EDIT: Or whoever produced that track.
Anywho, back to work...
May I be the first to say that I don't think Breakcore has to be fast at all. Some of Enduser's bust up Hip Hop is pretty darn Breakcore imho, as well as a lot of the Breakcore Dubstep I've heard.

Kyle is responcible for a lot of things...
but that would mean Trisha invented breakcore...
in many ways she did for me. when i was at uni me and my housemates would watch her while taking k. once she was finished we went off, filled with sluggish anger to create our respective music.

If you read the comment at the bottom (written by DJ Producer), it would seem that DJ Producer did. Not sayin he did or didn't, I'm just sayin...
of course he did just like he invented sausages, deckchairs & the piano...he also breed dinosaurs from a mixture of weedkiller and plastic and coined the phrase "cool as a cucumber"
.............
BTW theres a pretty good documentery about breakcore that answers this threads core question
