Message to UK residents regarding "extreme porn"
Starting on 26th January 2009, "extreme porn" is criminal to possess in much of the UK.
What's more, the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), of Scorpions Virgin Killer fame, will start blacklisting "extreme porn" in their ongoing censorship efforts. You can report "extreme porn" to them on their website: http://iwf.org.uk/
I am telling you this so that you are forewarned.
The law in question is in Sections 63 to 67 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008: http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts2008/uk ... _9#pt5-pb1 Section 63 actually defined "extreme pornographic images". See the Wikipedia article for more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extreme_pornography
It refers to pornography (defined as an image which "of such a nature that it must reasonably be assumed to have been produced solely or principally for the purpose of sexual arousal") which is "grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character", and portrays any of the following:
* (a) an act which threatens a person’s life,
* (b) an act which results, or is likely to result, in serious injury to a person’s anus, breasts or genitals,
* (c) an act which involves or appears to involve sexual interference with a human corpse,
* (d) a person performing or appearing to perform an act of intercourse or oral sex with an animal (whether dead or alive),
and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real.

Just thought it was interesting that of all things, your government is cracking down on this stuff. It'd be interesting to hear people's input.

To be honest i wouldn't worry too much about it as it is mainly directed at really sick cunts who're into kiddie porn, beastiality & hardcore rape (
) scenes.
BDSM etc will be fine.

Is the concept of slippery slope familiar to you? I am afraid that this law may suddenly start banning drawn pornography decipting rape, bestiality etc., for example in Australia (if I do remember correctly) where Simpsons porn was suddenly outlawed. Someone do correct me if I'm wrong.
I guess no more of this then..
The law states that the possession of such material is prohibited, but it doesn't state anything about watching that stuff from the internet. So fapping to that wouldn't be illegal, but I guess it becomes illegal when you download that crap to your computer.

I know. No more sluts with donkey dick pictures & savage rape scenes.
Censorship in Australia has always been pretty rough. Lots of films sold in the states are banned here, and we started out as a prison, not a haven for christian fundamentalists!
Heaps of stuff is TECHNICALLY illegal but still sold everywhere, like anything that includes spanking. That's right: Spanking. Technically illegal to sell, but legal to own, everywhere except the northern territory (can't cite references for that one, so correct me if I'm wrong).
@ VTJHAYV:
I didn't hear about the ban on simpsons porn, but I THINK hentai which shows penetration is another one of those TECHNICALLY illegal things. So it would make sense for simpsons porn to be illegal if that is the case.
Fisting is straight up illegal, watersports, scat etc etc. If you have these you can be charged with a criminal offence.
http://refused-classification.com/ is a great source of info on censorship in australia.
I gotta say, it sounds like these new laws in england are indeed designed to stop kiddie porn, bestiality etc, but i reckon it could lead to a few arrests of people who just dig a bit o' kink, too. I think it could be argued that alot of BDSM portrays acts which are likely to cause serious injury to a person's whatever. I mean, how do they define serious? And this stuff about context is a worry. You could argue that a violent film is for sexual arousal if it is stored in the same directory on your computer as porn. Well that may be a bit of a stretch, but y'know...

I digged up the source!
Apparently it was banned because drawn pornography decipting underaged is illegal. But I'm truly shocked by how large the censorship really is in Australia.
