this is a great plugin, but I can smell it a mile-off on releases. Perfect for live shit, or just distorted mashing.

I just got this and I can see why this vst is over used. But then so are a lot of others.
The question is are there any presents for this plugin.
If not maybe we can start a collection or a group.
Are there any others like this one?

However it has strange bugs with ableton live 7 (I think all VSTs have bugs with it) I have th problem that the glitch pattern slides a half in the whole pattern of the music... and I dunno how to fix it. I the only thing that worked for me is sliding the whole song with a half pattern, but that can be disturbing sometimes.
I think the plugin itself is smart but it will kill the idm/glitch/break scene.Without automating it properly it outputs the same kind of shit. You can throw it on every kind of music and it outputs what the average listener calls "random glitch" and we call retriggers. Done so beautifully in Renoise, isn't it?
I will never use it on any of my tracks .I use renoise and i make small, simple
patches in Reaktor that allows me lots more control and less or no random-like retriggering a sample with a lfo.

I hate people who produce tracks with vst's like this only using the random settings. the credit should go to dblue, not some sucka who put it over his drum track. that said, I use it live cuz the sounds are great, but I map it out on my controller so I can turn on the solo switches and control the sounds. No randomness. all purpose.
It's a very clever piece of programming. And for people who want an instant hit then its perfect. I think one problem with stuff like these, especially for people new to production, is that its very easy to become dependent on them and never spend the time figuring your own ways to do the same kinda effects. Another thing I noticed with the glitch is that it seems to do some kinda limiting to the output signal, regardless of any settings on it. which, depending on how you're using it, could cause some major problems if you're using it live.
