I started out on Acid, Soundforge and Cakewalk, but am now almost exclusively using Soundforge and VSTHost, with a bunch of real instruments. I have fairly current versions of Cubase and Ableton, but never got into them. Plogue Bidule seems pretty interesting, I might give it a try sometime.

cubase baby... kontakt, reaktor... as much NI stuff as poss until my cpu starts crying

Awesome, I've been playing with some of those recently. Bertrill is my favorite distortion VST lately, it's so versatile. Eckel is also lots of fun, especially with drum synth plugs. Kerrstinn is probably the best beatslicer I've ever seen, but it doesn't seem to work with my interface in VSTHost. It works in Minihost once you reset the audio to ASIO though.larsby wrote:www.shuriken.se
