what music did your parents listen to while you were growing up that you now listen to these days?

the only thing i can recall that my parents listened to that i like is mainly from my mom and it's not even allot because she has really bad taste in music.

but her favs that i have inherited would have to be

frank sinatra (dad), abba (mum), michael bolton (mum), louis armstrong (dad, who saw louis armstrong play at a pub in germany in the 50s; he said there were about 20 people there), shirley bassey (mum), bill halley (dad), elvis (mum)... s'all i can think of off the top of my head. but i remember mum yelling at me a lot to "turn that devil music off" when i was into death metal. my love of jazz/swing/rock n roll/blues/soul came from my parents. also, my parents are awesome.
