Went to Ibiza last month for the closing parties. Bit quiter this year coz of the credit crunch.

Electro House seems to be the in thing at the mo. Not bad tho as some peeps using breaks with dirty as basslines.

i dunno, i've felt like some of the more recent house (electro, bassline, blog (lol), etc...) sounds a lot harder than most hardstyle i've encountered... and if i'm going to sit through 1.5 minutes of snare-rolling clappity clap swoosh-laden build-up, i'd rather get hit full on with a banging house beat at the end of it than some clap-on-the-kick lazy ass "epic" drum programming, if that makes sense, oh who cares

Some hardstyle (aside from having the lamest compilation album art ever) is pretty identical to slower hardcore tracks, aside from the kick pitch often changing with the bass line, whereas Hardcore almost always keeps its open kick in the same key (not true for happy hardcore though). I might start a thread for gayest Hardstyle album art ever.
