I think that's what we use for the destroyer.net radio shows. hue-e's more up on the whole technical side of that, as he and mighty built the station. I'd ask him.

Shoutcast is great. it's easy to setup and it's free. most of the online radio stations out there use it. We use it for Destroyer and have never had a problem with it... and we've been going strong for 4.5yrs.

The online documentation is pretty straight forward, if you have a dedicated server, or hosting that ill allow you to run server apps, then you could be setup in probably 10 to 20mins, less time if you're familiar with server app setup. Dont be affraid of the shoutcast and winamp forums, they will answer most, if not all, questions you might have.

Be careful tho, bandwidth is not cheap so choose wisely when you are designating your bitrate and how many listeners can tune in. you'll eat up BW pretty fast.

this little site has some helpful tools on it: http://www.casterclub.com/
has a bandwidth calculator and a bunch of other cool stuff to help you along.

hopefully that will be good to get you started.

oh, and I should mention, Destroyer sells hosting for shoutcast servers. we have custom pricing based off what bitrate you want and how many people you want to tune in. we'll try to beat anyone's prices.

you would get total access to your server to do whatever the hell you want with it. comes with cpanel and a control panel for you and your djs for easy connection to your stream. or if you just want to run a playlist, that's an even easier setup.

we'll even do the setup for you and you'd be up and running in a jiffy.

shoot me some numbers and lets chat if you're interested.

well, the software is free... but you gotta pay for bandwidth and server space. there is free webhosting out there, but they wont let you run server apps or let people suck their BW dry ;)
