WTF is up with this forum?
It rly seems like this forum and this site in overall has stagnated and died.
The contests have become rly rly fucking boring, and nobody writes on the forum, all you see is noob first time posts. Sometimes a interesting topic comes up, like Divtechs sample pack tradeoff, but nobody even contributes.
I know that me myself rarely post here but i was starting to get into it but now, i dont know. This site needs that rehauling, and it needs it now!
Sorry for the rant.

completely agree, noob-postin 3yr old threads are getting a bit stale
we need some more ih8bcore rep so we can get some new talent in here, new ideas, new anything at this point would be good for a change.
i think the whole site needs to be overhauled as jm suggested a bit back there. the site is built a little clunky, it needs more than minor improvement
the only thing thats keeps this site alive are the contests and the 25 names that keep in communication, and the contests are dependent on the users

I'm a noob here and I'm only registered on two forums (this and the Propellerhead forum for Reason). This site could definitely benefit from an overhaul which honestly did wonders for the Props site upon the new launch. I don't consider this site's layout bad by any means, but anything worth "saving" deserves the attention. That being said, I know I couldn't design a site like this, so I'll leave it at that.
From my short time here, I see a ton of unregistered guests and only a dozen registered regulars at most at a time.
I'm already tired of reading about who has the heaviest dubstep sound, and while I enjoy the banter between the moderators and true devotees, a bigger sense of community needs to be achieved.
For talent discovery: Continue the contests, assemble frequent compilations
For noobs: it's hard to create stickies for such a vast amount of forum topics, so maybe limit the number of forum topics (Artists, Software Help/Samples, Contests, 1-2 other things).
For a reason to return to the site, maybe have a blog of sorts with applicable videos, news, product info, etc...I don't know, just some ideas.

thank you, great ideas
i think it might do some good to incorporate the guests into the site, for example, through downloadable comps and such, i dunno, anything that doesn't require a membership but could still contribute to the community

we could talk about Vsnares for a change.
or i like the "anyone heard of Drumcorps" thread
Maybe the classic "what is breakcore"
maybe we could get more topics about the Amen while we're at it.

its funny but this is really the core of what you would expect to find on a breakcore forum. i dont think theres anything you can do to stop new ppl from discovering vsnares, drumcorps, or that the sound they always hear is called the amen break. haha
we get some good topic ideas occasionally but the fact that theyre restricted to being at least somewhat bcore related means that chances are they will probably touch on a cliche bcore topic
I think a compilation would be a great idea! We had it before right? Like the helloween contest, we should do that again! More samplepack contests too! And god forgive me for saying this, but the winner of a contest should do the next samplepack, they do it over @ dubstepforum, and honsetly i think it´s a very fun way of getting the community more social!
Is there anything we could do about all the "hi" threads? It just clutters up everything, we need to take action...NOW!

I say we do it, the 30 second thing is ridiculous, in 30 seconds I could only just barely fit one bar of every track from "enema of the state", and wonderful as it may sound, there just wasnt enough room in there to make it sound in any way decent...
so it must be done, even if it's unofficial!
