exercising

Postby bureax » Fri Dec 03, 2010 7:13 am

I need motivational tips in order for my parents to understand exercising and doing it religiously? I grew up in a very sedentary family and my parents are becoming worse and worse in their condition everyday. I can feel the pain seeing them going back to the doctor every now and then and only making the conditions worse.

Why can't they enjoy themselves instead of wasting the last years of their lives running? Fuck running.

being sedentary isn't necessarily good (in fact quite detrimental) but contrary to popular belief exercising alone wont necessarily make you tons healthier, at least not if its not consistent. A better diet may be a better solution, and possibly one which would be easier to administer than trying to rip someone off the couch.
A better diet can lead to the abandonment of sedentation as well; not having processed predigested sugars constantly slowing you down and meats clogging up your gastrointestinal tract and slowing your metabolism would at least be a start.
