i still can't believe that the guy who directed Braindead went on to make Lord of The Rings.

If you liked Videodrome, check out Scanners, it's by the same guy.

Also check out some David Lynch stuff for weirdness - Twin Peaks movie, Mullholland Drive, oh and Blue Velvet.

28 Days later is an ok-ish zombie film

Shaun of the Dead is ace.

Dead alive is awesome especially that last battle at the end.

Also can't go wrong with Creepshow 1 and 2....stay away from the new abomination that is 3.

I always felt Shaun Of The Dead was a bit over-rated, though it's worth watching for the sheer amount of Spaced references. Hot Fuzz is far better in my opinion but then again, I grew up in the west country so it's extra special for me.

It hasn't got zombies but my favourite film of all time is the original version of Assault On Precinct 13. Everyone has to see it at some point in their lives. The remake is surprisingly okay as well.

David Lynch is a quality Director, <3 Blue Velvet. Eraserhead is one of his. :)

I quite like David Kronenberg as well but my favorites are John Carpenter & Stanley Kubrich.

Peter Jackson who directed Braindead & Lord of the Rings made Bad Taste too. What a fuckin geezer. 8)

Really wanna get Creepshow on DVD, they've released the boxsets in HMV at the minute, proper cheap!

In fact HMV is fuckin bozak for cheap decent DVD's at the minute. :D

I've been meaning to get David Lynch's eraserhead on dvd. I rented Inland Empire awhile back and thought it was flat out terrible.
