Where does one find other music like this?

Postby Zwaken » Mon Nov 28, 2011 12:51 am

Just really fucking noisy but beautiful, intense amazing SHIT. Like...

Keeds by ddamage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juNb0gM12ow

or Dirt Don't Hurt by Kkrusty (no youtube link)

or Competition by Electromeca

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E61DEC9Nfso

Can anyone help me out here?

I'm not looking for noisyness in terms of loads of amen breaks and gabber kicks, I'm talking just... glitchy to the point of being almost abnoxious. But still have some soul.

Yeah Pepcore, Electromeca is good shit :D

Xanopticon to me is a lesser Puzzleweasel, and I'm looking for some noisyness with some SOUL. Xanopticon and Puzzleweasel are both very cold and mechanic to me (which is good for certain moods... Listening to Puzzleweasel's album Exo-Grid all the way through is like rebooting my mind :P )

Yeah this is proper Zhark/Rhinoplex sounding, have a ganders at bands like Promethius burning, Xanopticon, Shatterbreak etc

In fact, there is a compilation that everyone should get called Jagoff uprising: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Jagoff-U ... ase/692976

This collection basically introduced me to Breakcore and related styles (particularly the Fortean crimes mix on cd 1), and even now it sounds way fresher than most new stuff coming out, it predicted 6 years of music and still managed to keep ahead of everything that followed it. This way a time when I really felt as if Breakcore had the anti-parent edge, such a great set of mixes, DJ C64 is the man, as is DJ cutups.

really? i like puzzleweasel alot! but imo xanopticon is better i like the bleak sound i wouldn't call it soulless tho, i think its a pretty good representation of just how bleak and empty the world can be in a really beautiful way,

if you like puzzleweasel tho you should also check out Larsp and Ruby My Dear and to DJtheBlade cheers for that link that stuff is awesome right down my street

More looking for very noisy IDM... It doesn't necessarily have to be breakcore, just... Noisy yet beautiful. Sorry, I'm doing a poor job explaining what I'm looking for. Something very colorful, and with a blinding amount of harsh percussive sounds so my ears feel like they're cumming blood.

Autechre and the last Aphex Twin album spring to mind, but also do many of the things on that compilation I linked to above.
