This is true.
Dead Mountain Mouth pwns faces. Like I said in the Drumcorps thread, though. Their new album is just *okay*. They're really the only band of that style that I know...
What would you classify them as? I've always called them cybergrind.

Yeah the GT talk was beginning to override the Drumcorps thread so I thought I'd start a new one.
Dead Mountain Mouth makes me feel funny in my girl parts - the title track is sooo amazing it makes me want to punch the sky and set fire to things. I haven't heard the new album yet but there's already a bunch of hype about it (being leaked, not how good it is). I'll check it out eventually. Have you heard the Cloak of Love EP?
If you like GT you should definitely check out Electrocutionerdz, Refuzer vs Schizoid (you can get it from D-Trash), and Realicide.
I dunno, yeah, cybergrind or digigrind. I don't really care about genres, as long as it's good who gives a fuck what it's called.
edit: fixed link.

Yeah, I have Cloak Of Love, too. There's definitely some good stuff on there. Shit, some of their best tracks are on that EP alone - Arms, Rock Candy, and I like Laser Bitch a lot too.
I'm not sure what it is about the new one that I didn't like. It's less electronic, for one thing. That kinda bummed me out. Dead Mountain Mouth maintained such a good balance between the electronic stuff and the guitars - Board Up The House is definitely more 'grind' than 'cyber' but it even kind of shifted away from the grindcore sound just into general metal a bit. I will say that they have definitely progressed technically though - everything is so much tighter on here than on their previous releases. Don't know if that's necessarily good or bad for their sound, kinda depends on the way you look at it...
There are certain tracks that just plain slay though. "City On A Hill" being the standout one for me - one of the few that mixes everything together really well. I'm sooo going to have to learn that synthline when I get one.
Edit: And I'll check out those other bands, thanks for referring me.
Edit again: Checked out Refuzer Vs Schizoid. That's REAL "cybergrind" hahaha. Gotta love those 4-seconders. FIFTY tracks in under 5:00. Hell yes.
