Boooorrrriiiinnnggg. i still have no idea how this is done, and don't care to. Limiting yourself selection wise, just so you can show off this skill that's kinda stupid to begin with really just doesn't make any sense. Especially in a genre like breakcore that honors breaking the rules.

It's something shit tons of people do to compensate for the fact that they can't make music. :P

For the record though, Vank is a genious of a producer.

hah! thanks man. beatmatching is great though. indeed its difficult in breakcore, when everything is not made at the same tempo, but mixing amens together...awesome.

lol... that's funny

this something producers say to compensate for the fact that they can't dj.

without beatmatching, you're just a wedding dj... what's the fun in that? being able to mix two tunes together is a lot more fun when you can juggle beats, because they are beatmatched. unless you like just standing there behind a bunch of gear not doing much so you can play other people's tunes.

umm what in the name of mother are you talking about?

If you go out and play a set without "beatmatching" you know - actually mixing two records together without it sounding like you're simultaneously puking up and shitting out a full drumkit - then you're essentially... just a fucking jukebox with an opinion.

And from what i've seen so far... your opinions suck.

first try to mix techno just something slower than breakcore
make the 2 records go at the speed, and try to get the bass on the same place, you really should start with breakcore, thats just to fucktup
and if you do you'll allways suck behind the turntables

and be really, really, really drunk

Ok.. great.. but what do I have to do in order to "beatmatch"

is it like.. altering the tempo of tracks so they fit together? or finding songs that fit together?

Ever notice how most of the more interesting breakcore artists start off with some weird samples or ambiance? There's a reason for that.

As for you good sir, you must spin lots of the boring mundane ragga-infused shit. Sorry for your luck.

I don't "just stand there" thank you very much. 8) I have a fucking shit ton of fun. It frees ya up to double fist beers, and actually rock out to the tracks you're playing.

Wedding DJs play Barry Manilow.

Anyway...DEATH TO THE DJ!!! ALL HAIL THE LIVE PAS!!!!
