wave your hands if you use a tracker!!!
3 2 1 go!
renoise user my self, but somtimes i have a good mess around on the freebee modplug tracker, cause when you overdrive the samples they go really hard n crusty, it also has an evil pitchshifter which is awesome on breakbeats,
but renoise is simply just a good workhorse besides like, the best drum-machine ever!
personaly i don't know how the fuck you write breakcore (or any extreme music) on somthing like logic and cubase, as for reason

i love renoise. you can make everything on it. before i use FL / reaktor / and cubase as a sequencer. but . damn . it is more easy if you can understand it. it was hard for me at the beginning but . once you have understand it how it works . it is the best thing that someone can create to make music. such as breakcore or idm there is no rules it is only your imagination. . .

I use renoise. I used to fanny around with Ableton but went off of it.
Trackers are the bomb. It's like a musical spreadsheet

like a fellow poster up there...back in like 1994-1996 and such using old trackers like Fast Tracker....were godlike...i piddled with Reason, FL, etc.. and while i am mainly hardware based...nothing stands up to Renoise...tracker control...with VSTs and individual track dump for mastering...
amazing is the only way to describe renoise...

renoise again over here - cant beat it - although i do final mixes in cubase just to get a different angle on a tune. hardly even need to use vst fx in renoise as the pattern commands are so ace. - one you have got your head around it (and it's not exactly hard & nothing like programming) it is easily the best thing to make breakbeats and breakcore in - check out some of the loops made here
