i think you'll find thats the case with most extreme musicians... get the anger out in the music so you can chill the rest of the time.

I couldn't agree more when he says about wanting more expressive midi controllers to be made. It makes me want to learn about electronics and start designing my own controllers, but that's just bloody time-consuming.

this was an really interesting read. when the blog first started, I began reading all the interviews. its really interesting to me, how other people create music. the captain ahab studio is awesome too. they just posted a realicide interview aswell!

aaron spectre is sick, he played a house party of mine here in boston, a friend new him from high school in Mass, asked him to play. next thing you knew, he was rocking a three story apartment building in allston, bananas.

such a cool dude, mad humble and chill. i mean shit, he's used to playing in front of 15,000 people, playing a house party for a few hundred must have be an interesting change of pace.

I'm guessing cause it's pretty good for live use and going freeform and still keep everything together. He actually runs ableton in a neat way with his hybrid live performer/dj style.

of seeing Aaron live in Brooklyn, NY a few months back, and i must say i
was dancing like i was sellin nails :-)

~he tore shit up 100%, and as others have mentioned he is one hell of a nice (and verrry mellow) guy.
i was talking w/ him for about 15 min. after the show- cOOlest dOOd.

sadly, DuranX3 was supposed to play also, but his car broke down on
the way..
