Don't capitalise the first letter of every word, or I WILL find you.
The Capitalization Just Shows My Extremely Enthusiastic Way Of Speech In Which No Exclamation Mark Could Ever Display.
I'd love to hear if you sound like the way I think you sound in real life!

I used to have a mate who would capitalise the first letter of every word in his msn screen name.
Please notice the "used" in that sentence. He's dead now, courtesy of my machine gun arm.

Side chaining bass is easy in ableton live 7. Only takes a quick minute and you can make that quick electro house/house/trance thumphing synth noise.
side chaining can be done in a quick minute in like every program... goodjob? i dare you to make a proper fullon psytrance song, see what comes out
Why waste my time on making something I don't like? I'll leave that up to some of friends who actually dabble in that and focus on things I do like. First you say side chaining is tricky, now you say its easy...make up your mind already.
i didnt say side chaining was tricky lol, i said to get the sidechained nice rolling bass for fullon is tricky, just the whole process in general, sidechaining is just a small part of it. and the bass must be the most important thing in fullon psy.
and i wasnt asking you to waste your time, i find that a very weak excuse as you seem to be so confident that its not too hard, proof it then mate.

Ooooh them sound like fighting words! I see a psy-off a'comin'! How about the next contest being a psycore one? Then we'll really see how hard it is.

Wow basslines are so hard!

Just add some wonky pulsing noises or simple pads and some effects and you should well be on your way, so hard! Lets not get out that 4/4 cept from time to time with a build.
Like I said I don't see a point in making something when I don't care one ounce for it. Thats like me making a tedious dinner that I can't even stand to eat. I'd be sitting there cringing as I messed with synth sounds I can't tolerate.

There's a big difference between wasting time on something you enjoy and wasting time on something you don't, the latter actually being time wasted. No one here is arguing that you can make a good track of any genre without being musically talented, just that psytrance is piss easy to make and piss poor to listen to.

weak. i already said side chaining is a piece of cake, its not just about the side chaining my friendmy friend releases psytrance, and i have made it before aswell, harder than you think. some side chaining videos and some breakcore experience aint getting you anywhere with that, you need to be a proper proper producer my friend. so stop talking hard if its so easy then do it and stop making up excuses you dont have time for it, your wasting time on this forum aswell.
Seeing how posting and doing some random cleaning on this forum only takes me about 10 mins of my time and I enjoy it here I don't consider it a waste of time.
Then wasting a bit of time needlessly drawing a psy track to just prove a point is not worth my time. Yea I said draw, because most psy trance I can see how it's drawn out just by coloring dots in fruity loops/ableton/or whatever program you use. Yea thats so much harder than sitting digging samples, loops and taking em apart rearranging and thats not even counting the time if you wanna really get creative and distort, destroy, EQ em all to hell. But yea, psy trance is so much harder to produce when all I gotta do is use the pen tool in ableton in draw mode and just color dots on each bar and maybe every so often add a change up.
I'd rather "waste" time relaxing for a quick minute which is rare at the moment, listen to some richard devine, read and wonder how the hell he does some of the stuff he does. Not playing wonky synth riffs over some locked in beats that pretty much stay the same throughout the whole track.

ok wasting ur time in the forum is a bit random and stupid statement
and we can go forever if we try to prove that some shit is easy produce, some not....it's still basically all the same....there are shitty breakcore tunes with a glitch plugin in master channel.....and there are some shitty psytrance tunes with a 4x4 and a random synth going over the top
from my experience...PROPER psytrance is NOT easy to produce aswell it is with proper breakcore

I really couldnt tell you, im sure it cam with my downloaded copy of fruity loops 8 but i got rid of that.
well yeah ofcourse this topic is going to be an opinion, most things that you would say about music is an opinion in the end isnt it. As frog was saying, there is never going to be a straight way to make a music everyone likes, there are just to many people and too many noises.
except donkstyle, everyone loves donkstyle.[/quote]
was it poizone?

Jesus H Christ I hate that shit with a passion! I have no idea how or when it happened but most US "industrial" turned into that so called "EBM" crap. I could just shake the shit out of these goth/rivet heads who claim to listen to such hard music and then when I ask who, they usually tell me/send/link me this Euro trance with bad goth vocals over the top.
News update, this crap would be a top 10 dance hit on some pop chart without the vocals and it's no where near hard or experimental as they claim. It's like a whole generation of dip shits just decided to take things back to nothing and rebuild it in a image off piss and shit in their own image. Your crap so called "EBM" got owned by ancient hardware, forward thinkers and experimentalists in the 80's early 90's. Where's my front 242, psychopomps, old ministry, revco, psychic tv. Nah I get stuck with stuff like combichrist, really now it takes 6 guys on stage to make this music? Really now?
GD I need a drink!
some ebm oldschoolers are still good. like frontline assembly. ebm didnt used to be so rudimentary, although i do like some combi songs, for cheese purposes mostly

Frontline Assembly are in a different league, they are just crazy nuts with how much they put into their music. I love love love FLA, too bad I think they retired the name or so I heard. Even some of their early stuff sounds ahead of its time.
