Mashup?
Wow This Is Just Like That Other Post I Made But About Mashups!
Haven't Heard Many Mashups On Here Or "Mashcore"
I Make Digigrind Mashups Myself With Some Hip Hop Flava.
But Anyone Else Do Some Mashin' Or Have Any Great Mashup Recommendations?

I usually play loads of mash-ups and mashcore stuff on my podcast.

that Parlour Games for the Disenchanted played so I'm going to copy them on my next show.

Most of my older stuff was 'Mashcore' as it were, back in 05 and 06 when I basically aspired to be DJ Shitmat and the Wrong Music crew.

Sinn Fein in the membrane and Mary Poppins are both examples of my Mashcore shiz. Packed full of Slayer and heavy metal samples merged in with ragga, tv theme tunes, mr bungle and cock sparrer loops.

I'm kinda like that. My most recent track sampled a few Goblin songs and the theme from Return of the Living Dead.

i think in order to call something mashup, the average listener needs to be able to clearly recognize the song if they have heard it before. i take stuff from all over the place, but if you have a snare from a song, a stab from another song, and a kick from another song, its not really mashup. taking a song and sampling it is different from taking a song pretty much as it is and superimposing it on something else. some of the best mashups i have heard are stuff like old z-trip and kid koala dj sets. i wouldnt really call that mash-core tho.
